Julie Green from Wellness Empowered discusses her reasons for making changes to her diet and lifestyle – and why she now wants to empower other people to help take the right steps towards wellness…
My interest in wellbeing and nutrition started around 7 years ago now – when I needed to make changes to my own health. When I look back, I would say I was borderline to having an eating disorder and had been in denial for a long time that I needed to make a change.
From the changes I made, my interest in nutrition began. As I made changes to my body I began to look deeper into the way food impacts our bodies. I went on to study for my Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and studied to become a Nutrition Advisor. From there I made a change in my career – leaving behind the finance sector in which I had worked for over 20 years.

Fast forward to today, I am now a Level 3 Pilates Instructor and am due to complete my Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification very soon; I offer treatments, consultations and 1-2-1 sessions from my studio at home.
Cooking and trying new recipes is something we love to do at home; good nutrition and a balanced lifestyle is something important to my family and me.
I love sharing this passion with others too and provide monthly recipe packs with a variety of new recipes each month that are great for all the family, keeping mealtime varied and interesting!
